Gala Dinner
Coming Soon
The Diplomatic Spouses Club of London (DSCL) proudly presents a Gala Dinner to celebrate its 10th Anniversary.
Set in the iconic Dartmouth House in Mayfair, this special occasion honors
a decade of friendship and connection in the vibrant city of London.

The Celebration
The DSCL was founded in 2014 as a non-profit organisation and its mission is to provide a supportive platform for diplomatic spouses and partners during their time in London, facilitating opportunities for them to meet and enjoy cultural and social events together fostering a multinational community. The Club has faced challenges for a decade, including the pandemic, yet its determination to strengthen its mission has never wavered.

The 10th Anniversary aims to celebrate the borderless friendships formed in London, a vibrant crossroads that enriches our experiences, shapes our journeys and highlights the professional paths of our diplomatic spouses. Let's cherish these relationships that transcend borders and create lasting memories!
By uniting its ever-growing network, DSCL extends heartfelt gratitude to the host country by raising funds for The-Speaking Union (ESU), a UK-registered charity that champions multicultural diversity and the power of global friendship.

The Diplomatic Spouses Club in London looks forward to celebrating with esteemed members and distinguished guests and raising glasses: Here's to many more years of promoting diversity, knowledge-sharing and cultural enrichment.

The Venue
Dartmouth House, a grade II listed townhouse, is an elegant mansion set in the heart of London’s Mayfair and has been home of the English-Speaking Union since 1926.
It provides a meeting place for ESU members and hosts regular events such as debates, conversation series and networking events, as well as ESU competition finals.

The ESU is partnering with DSCL as we value the connection and friendship and the power of language and cultural understanding. Dartmouth House opened its doors to DSCL members for the first time on Wednesday 25th September 2024 and since is now the members' home away from home.
The Fundraising Gala
As DSCL celebrates another successful year of strengthening ties between the UK and the international diplomatic community, we are reminded of the profound impact that cultural exchange and understanding can have on our world.

DSCL's fundraising goal is to support The English-Speaking Union (ESU). Children are the future, and by enhancing their communication and debate skills, we are fostering diplomacy and paving the way for a world where language serves as a bridge for understanding and conflict resolution.
Together, we can contribute to a more peaceful society.

This fundraising initiative is not just about financial support; it is about investing in educational opportunities that empower young minds. By promoting ESU's speech and debate programs, we are nurturing the leaders of tomorrow.
We invite you to join us in this noble cause to raise funds through voluntary donations.
Your contribution will help uphold the values of inclusion and diversity that define The English-Speaking Union.

The Logo
The 10th Anniversary logo, as the celebration, aims to honour the friendships formed in London, a vibrant city that enriches our experiences and shapes our journeys. It is a place where we witness the growth of our families, cherish our shared memories, and experience personal growth alongside the interconnected professional paths of our diplomatic spouses.

The DSCL 10th Anniversary logo was designed by board members Viona Moudiani Putri and Moto Higuchi. They masterfully framed the Club logo within a red circle, reminiscent of the dynamic life of diplomatic families. Our journey as spouses is often completed as, at various points, we return to our countries of origin, frequently beginning a new circle with a new destination abroad.
As our lives unfold, our paths may align in parallel journeys, or they may cross at significant moments. We acknowledge that our journey is not without imperfections (sometimes like a bumpy road), as we face challenges and obstacles along the way. Nonetheless, the circle continues, and the DSCL mission remains central as many members have navigated their time in London since 2014.
